Dr. Chris Bondy is the Gannett Distinguished Professor in the School of Media Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology. As part of his role, Chris is leading the effort to transform the School of Media Sciences into a cross-disciplinary educational experience, refreshing traditional courses and teaching new courses in cross-media, asset management and database publishing. With three decades of industry experience, Chris has extensive experience in strategy, business development, product planning, process engineering and marketing communications. He received a Masters of Engineering and Science in New Product Development, and PhD in Computer Science from RIT. Chris has published books and a variety of articles related to the graphic communications value chain. Chris also has several patents in process and was awarded US patent 7,142,326, Methods and Apparatus for Variable Data Document Printing, and US patent 10,932,248, Methods for determining printing needs of and for implementing print solutions for an entity to identify predetermined characteristics. Wayne Peterson is the Principal of the Black Canyon Consulting Group Inc. Wayne’s 30-year career in Graphic Communications has included CEO assignments three times, as well as C-Level roles in marketing and business development. He founded the Black Canyon Consulting Group in 2008. Black Canyon’s specialization is Cross-Media Communication Management, with a focus on brand creation and strategy, business development, and the customer experience. Clients include printing and other graphic communication companies, publishers, associations, and technology development firms nationwide. Dr. Joe Webb is a 35-year veteran of the graphic arts industries, and one of the graphic arts industry’s best-known consultants and forecasters. His book, “Disrupting the Future: Uncommon Wisdom for Navigating Print’s Challenging Marketplace,” has been described as “the manifesto for a new generation of printers.” He is a Ph.D. graduate of the NYU Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology, holds an MBA from Iona College, and was a magna cum laude graduate in business from Manhattan College. His career in the industry began with Agfa’s Graphic Systems Division, became a marketing executive with Chemco Photoproducts, and entered consulting full time in 1987.
In 1994, he founded the influential TrendWatch information service, sold to multinational publisher Reed Elsevier in 2000.
